2016 has seen the installation of artificial turf in the rear grounds of the crisis accommodation site. This was made possible by a generous grant from Beyond Bank, and has certainly made the area much more attractive and welcoming.
Time to Shine, a group for women, will be held at a new venue in 2017. Details to come.
The solar panels installed by Yarredi in 2012 have dramatically cut the electricity bills for their main office and crisis units. Grants received from the State and Local Governments, as well as from Zen Solar and assisted in the purchase and installation costs of the panels. The Yarredi Board was looking at effective ways to improve the budget bottom line, and are well-pleased with the results, while also contributing to decreasing their environmental impact.
