The Yarredi Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday 28th September 2011 at 11.30am. The venue will be the Boardroom of the Eyre Peninsula Natural Resource Management Office at 23 Napoleon St, Port Lincoln. All are welcome. Members are eligible to vote. Membership is a requirement to be nominated on the Board. Membership is by application. Renewals are now due at cost of $5.
Winston the Bear has recent retired as children's companion at the Pt Lincoln Library. After taking some time off to visit schools, go fishing and even helping out with some parcel deliveries, Winston has come to live at Yarredi Services where he now provides comfort and support to children attending the Yarredi Children's Wellbeing Program for children affected by domestic and family violence.
Life memberships were awarded to Hanna Dalziel for her 20 years of service, and to Christine Jettner for 10 years of voluntary service to Yarredi. Certificates for Service of 10 or more years were also awarded to Nola Fehrenbach and Jennifer Pope.
Clients, both women and children, took part in a quilting project to honour and remember the women and children who have been killed in domestic violence. Click here to view full story...
